Grooming technician training program

Interested in learning dog grooming ?

We offer a complete and serious training program for people who wish to work as grooming specialists.

Only one student at a time

But wait.. you are not here to work or clean up the place, no.. This is an intensive course. Each student has his own dog to learn with and can work on 5 dogs a day, depending on how fast he learns and what course is being given.

A 300 page theory manual, in French, is included in the course. You will find the description of the cuts but also a description of each race, a health notebook and a section dealing with the maintenance of the equipment.

You will learn how to : wash, dry, cut nails, remove hair, clean the ears, empty the anal glands, how to brush correctly and untangle all kinds of hair. You will also do razor and scissors cuts.

Be advised that in your course, we guarantee you will work on at least one Lhasa Apso or Shih tzu, a Poodle, a Terrier (Fox, Welsh or Lakeland)  a West Highland and a Shetland (or any dog with similar fur). With the experience you will have acquired during your course, and the manual given to you, you will be able to handle a complete grooming session on any kind of dog.

Courses are given Monday to Friday, from 9 to 4, spread out on a 6 or 7 week period of time, for a total of 200 hours. The cost of the course is $4,000 plus $800 (more or less) for equipment. Applicable taxes are added on.
